What we do
Silverstone Design specializes in custom design services for new residential construction, additions, renovations, and accessory structures. This includes preparing concept sketches and preliminary plans, all the way up to structural and architectural blueprints for permits.
We can assist with the overall building permit approval process. We consult with the applicable local authorities and provide guidance navigating the municipal/city approval process including zoning bylaws. We can prepare planning applications (zoning, minor variance, site plan, committee of adjustment, etc.) and the associated preliminary plans required for municipal approvals. We can also attend meetings and obtain approvals on your behalf, as well as obtain building permits for homes, accessory structures, secondary suites, small buildings, and permit approvals for sewage system construction.

Registered Interior Designer
Silverstone Design Inc. is a full-service architectural design firm located in Bracebridge, Ontario. It is owned and operated by Christine Lawrence, a Registered Interior Designer with almost 20 years of experience in residential design and development.
Christine has extensive experience in both the public and private sector. She began her career as a drafting technologist and custom home designer, working for custom home manufacturers. She later practiced Interior Design within the GTA, working on a wide range of design services from complete renovations to large buildings and structures. She has also spent six years working at the municipal level as a Building Official, Inspector and Plans Examiner. Throughout her career she has worked with homeowners, developers, as well as, architects and engineers on inspections, permit approvals and ensuring compliance with the Ontario Building Code.
Silverstone Design was born out of a passion for great design and helping home owners navigate the complex process of residential construction.
Christine is a member of both the Association of Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC). She is also a Certified Building Code Official (CBCO) with membership in the Ontario Building Officials Association (OBOA).
